Ph.D in analytical chemistry with over 20 years experience in biological mass spectrometry in academic and industry settings. Detailed characterization of sequence liabilities in therapeutic mAbs using LCMSMS.

Characterization of biotherapeutics. LCMSMS analysis of therapeutic mAbs to identify and characterize post-translation modifications induced by degradation studies. Awarded 2018 Team Impact Citation for outstanding contribution to the Structural and Computational Biology Team (SCBT) at Pfizer. Implemented installation of mass spectrometry capabilities and expertise in the Bioanalytical Development Group of the Protein Therapeutics Division at Genzyme to support program goals. Conducted complete characterization of recombinant biotherapeutics using mass spectrometry in a team oriented environment. Led the development and validation of an HPLC-based peptide map used for the approval of the Fabrazyme® IND application and an LC-MS method for labeled oligosaccharides released from biotherapeutics to replace less advanced methods of oligosaccharide profiling. Designed and implemented cross-training and education of group members . Represented the Bioanalytical Development Group at designated program/project levels with the responsibility of producing and distributing meeting summaries to articulate program goals for the group. Acquired expertise in a broad range of mass spectrometry techniques (LCMSMS, MALDI, ESI and Top-Down) at the Center for Biomedical Mass Spectrometry at the Boston University School of Mecicne. Established mass spectrometry methods for the analysis and identification of amyloidogenic proteins in the clinical patient diagnosis workflow of the Amyloidosis Center for Familial Amyloidotic Polyneuropathy (FAP) patients. Used expertise in Top-Down to develop an assay to detect and characterize hemoglobinopathies. Sustained commitment to teaching mass spectrometry and training new users on a variety of platforms.
