 Research Expertise & Professional Interests
Boston University, School of Medicine June 2010-May 2015
PhD Research in Dr. Lee Quinton’s laboratory

-Determine the functional link between liver activation and pulmonary inflammation during respiratory infections to better develop systemic treatments for localized respiratory diseases
-Optimize murine models utilizing cell biology and histological techniques to study the role of the hepatic acute phase response in respiratory inflammatory conditions
-Employ problem solving skills to adapt flow cytometry, sorting, and dissecting techniques to purify and/or culture neutrophils and alveolar macrophages for ex vivo assays
-Manage collaborations across multiple laboratories, and trained over 4 graduate students, post docs and technicians in mouse dissection and surgical procedures.
