Sarah R. Preis, ScD MPH, is a Research Associate Professor of Biostatistics at the Boston University School of Public Health. She has a ScD in epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and an MPH in epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She joined the faculty at Boston University in 2010 after completing an NHLBI postdoctoral research fellowship at the Framingham Heart Study. Dr. Preis’ research efforts focus on the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease, obesity, and dementia. For over a decade, she has collaborated extensively with investigators from the Framingham Heart Study. Additionally, she serves as a biostatistician for the Massachusetts Veterans Epidemiology Research and Information Center (MAVERIC) at the Jamaica Plain VA Medical Center. Dr. Preis currently teaches BS723 Introduction to Statistical Computing. She received the BUSPH Excellence in Teaching Award in 2015 and 2020.
