Dr. Rosa Breton-Romero obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, in 2007. She undertook her pre-doctoral training focus on the pathological and physiological role of reactive oxygen species in the endothelium and their role in vascular protection under the guidance of Dr. Santiago Lamas, earning a PhD in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedicine and Biotechnology in 2013 from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. Dr. Rosa Breton-Romero is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Medicine Department in Boston University School of Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Naomi Hamburg (2014-Present). Dr. Rosa Breton-Romero current studies concern the mechanism and clinical consequences of insulin resistance and endothelial dysfunction in patients with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus.
