Dr. Ron Medzon is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine and Assistant Dean of Admissions at the Chobanian and Avedisian Boston University School of Medicine. He is the Director of the Clinical Simulation Center and an attending physician at Boston Medical Center. A graduate of McGill University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the Boston City Hospital/Boston Medical Center program. He has published research focusing on airway and trauma care, and more recently in the field of simulation education. He has co-edited a textbook in Emergency Medicine. He is a passionate educator who ran an elective course introducing Emergency Medicine to medical students at BU for 20 years, and has developed many innovative curricula using simulation and experiential learning for medical students, residents and faculty. His current focus is on using experiential learning with interprofessional teams to promote safer patient care.
