Dr. Mohamad Abdalkader is a board-certified Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiologist at Boston Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Radiology at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine.

He earned his medical degree from the Lebanese University – Faculty of Medical Sciences in Beirut, Lebanon, in 2011. He completed his radiology residency at the Lebanese University and the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium, with focused training in interventional and neurointerventional radiology. He then completed ACGME-accredited fellowships in Diagnostic Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroradiology at Boston Medical Center before joining BMC as an attending physician in 2018.

At BMC, he evaluates patients and their imaging and performs a wide range of neuroendovascular procedures with advanced technical expertise, including acute stroke intervention, intracranial aneurysm treatment, intracranial and carotid artery stenting, treatment of arteriovenous malformations and fistulas, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty, and endovascular treatment of vascular causes of pulsatile tinnitus.

Dr. Abdalkader has authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications and has served as an investigator on numerous research projects involving acute stroke management, cerebral aneurysms, intracranial vascular malformations, pulsatile tinnitus, and traumatic vascular injuries.

He is a frequently invited speaker at national and international conferences in radiology, interventional radiology, and interventional neuroradiology. He also serves as a reviewer and associate editor for several scientific journals and works as an independent imaging adjudicator for stroke and artificial intelligence research studies.
