I am an Assistant Professor at Boston University Medical Campus, in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. I have served as a student advisor and group facilitator for first through fourth year medical students since 2015. I am the Director of the fourth year elective in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine as well as Director of the Pathology and Laboratory Fellowship. I was the Pathology Director for the BUSM (DRx) Curriculum Committee from 2012-2019, Director and then Co-Director of the Introductory Pathology Course Graduate and Masters of Medical Science from 2011 to 2013 and Director/Co-Director of the General Pathology Course at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. My research expertise is in pediatric, developmental and placental pathology. I have been an advisor for 23 medical students, and residents in anatomic and clinical pathology. I have mentored and reviewed the Thesis of two Master of Arts and Medical Sciences (MAMS) students.
I have a fundamental commitment to the development of students and pathology residents. In mentoring I view my role as facilitating individuals’ personal and professional growth/advancement in a manner that is aligned with their values and goals.
