Gillian M. Schiralli Lester, PhD is a former Postdoctoral Associate at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. Currently, she is the Research Assistant Professor in the department of neonatology at University of Rochester. She is interested in the regulation of gene expression and how that relates to disease progression. Her previous studies have centered on investigating cell signaling mechanisms which regulate Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) replication with the goal of identifying novel factors which could then be targeted for therapeutic development. Her current focus is on developing gene delivery strategies to treat acute lung injury.
