Mei Elansary MD, MPhil is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine, a developmental behavioral pediatrician at Boston Medical Center, and a health services researcher. Dr. Elansary’s research investigates maternal mental health and child development. She has specific interests in parenting interventions for trauma-exposed families, with a focus on prevention of child psychopathology. She also studies the effects of early life opiate exposures on child health and development.

She has a BA in the Biological Basis of Behavior and Environmental Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania, an MPhil in Medical Anthropology from the University of Oxford, and an MD from Yale School of Medicine.
