I recently received my PhD from Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine in the Dept of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics where I studied the interaction of the sympathetic nervous system and an increase in dietary salt intake on renal sodium transporters in hypertension. My research resulted in 5 invited oral presentations at both the Experimental Biology and the American Heart Association: HBPR Conferences and a first-author publication.
More recently, I have been working as a Scientist in the Translational Sciences group at Intellia Therapeutics where we are working on developing curative genome editing treatments by harnessing the power of the CRISPR/Cas9 system in a lipid nanoparticle. I have been responsible for performing in vivo studies aimed at supporting studies in NHP and exploring the mechanism of our therapeutic in the liver.
