Karen Harnett, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. After completing her postdoc at the University of Rhode Island, she remained in state to teach at Brown University. Over a decade later, she arrived at Boston University. While at Brown University, she earned 10 awards for her teaching and is currently the co-director of Disease and Therapy (DRx) course for second year MD curriculum of Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics and the American Gastroenterological Association. While a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, she has given 10 presentations in the course of her career.
