David is the Medical Campus Information Security Officer and BU HIPAA Security Officer. In this role, he helps BUMC IT provide secure services, and provides guidance to faculty, staff, and students. He also helps the various BU HIPAA Components at CRC and BUMC to comply with HIPAA in a manner that both works for them and complies with requirements. In addition, he helps researchers throughout the entire research lifecycle process: from writing proposals and implementing additional controls required by contracts, to closing out a research project.

When he is not on campus, he is probably skiing, biking, or hiking with his children.
