Yoshiyuki Mochida, DDS, PhD, is a Clinical Professor of Molecular & Cell Biology at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After earning two degrees in his native Japan, Dr. Mochida began as a Research Associate in Dental Research Center at UNC Chapel Hill. A few years after being promoted he came to Boston University in 2009. Since then he has been active in the dental school by serving on several committees and teaching over 11 classes. For his teaching he won three awards from UNC Chapel Hill and has mentored both Masters and PhD students at BUSM. He holds multiple patents and has given three public hearing testimonies on insurance coverage for craniofacial conditions.
