I am a post-doctoral fellow at Boston University. I work in an administrative role in collaboration with the clinic director, where I use strategies to build positive work culture into training in Clinical Psychology. I see individual and group CBT and DBT patients. My research goals include improving training and clinic offerings through program evaluation, dimensional models of psychopathology, and improving access to mental health care for low-income populations.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility

As a first-generation undergraduate and graduate student from a low-income background, a primary career goal is to extend access to care to low-income populations who are disproportionately from non-White ethnoracial backgrounds. I am working on efforts to partner with community programs to improve my ability to work with underserved populations in mental health care. I also serve as a Terrier First, where I offer mentorship/support/advocacy to first-gen BU graduate and undergraduate students. My goal is to build safe and welcoming workspaces for students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds through multiple university connections.

I am a Terrier F1RSTS Advocate for first generation undergraduate and graduate students. As a military veteran, I can also speak to veteran experiences at BU and beyond. I am happy to discuss undergraduate and graduate school programs/experiences with students from any background, although I can speak from experience about getting a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I am happy to talk about work/life integration and issues of diversity with those who share some of my experiences and may find it helpful (e.g., first-generation student status, veteran status, low-income background, female in academia, etc.). You can email me to set up a talk. I am happy to chat over the phone, in person, via Zoom, or by email.
