Dr. Tiffany Pleasent, MD, is an Associate Medical Director of Boston EMS and a dedicated Emergency Medicine physician with a passion for prehospital care, resuscitation science, and community health education. With a strong commitment to advancing emergency medical services (EMS) and improving out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival rates, she works at the intersection of clinical practice, public health, and advocacy.

She is the founder of Start Your Heart, a platform dedicated to raising awareness about bystander CPR and the American Heart Association’s Chain of Survival, particularly in sports and underrepresented populations. She is also the author of Transforming Pain into Purpose: An Empowering Memoir, which chronicles her path from adversity to a career in emergency medicine, emphasizing the importance of healing, sacrifice, and service.

In her role at Boston EMS, Dr. Pleasent is actively involved in medical oversight and quality improvement initiatives to enhance prehospital care. She is currently the Associate EMS Fellowship Director at Boston Medical Center’s Department of Emergency Medicine, where she works clinically.
