Subhadeep Chowdhury
Postdoctoral Associate
Boston University
Computing & Data Sciences

Subhadeep joined the Segrè Lab in November 2024 as a microbiome postdoctoral fellow, co-mentored by Prof. Wally Fulweiler (Earth and Environment, Boston University). He completed his PhD in Oceanography at the Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography (MIO), Aix-Marseille Université, France. His doctoral research contributed to unraveling the intricate relationships between biogeochemical and physical factors that shape diazotroph activity and diversity in the Indian Ocean. During his postdoc, he is investigating the relationship between sediment microbial communities and their biogeochemical functions, with the aim of translating this knowledge into a predictive sediment metabolic model.
