Dr. Caldroney is an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and attending surgeon at Boston Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from the New York University College of Dentistry where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Fraternity. During Dental School, he was awarded a United States Air Force Health Professions scholarship.

Following graduation, Dr. Caldroney completed a General Practice Residency at Keesler Air Force Base (AFB), Biloxi, Mississippi and fulfilled his active duty commitment at Spangdahlem and Bitburg AFBs in Germany. After his time in the Air Force, Dr. Caldroney went on to complete a 6 year dual degree Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center, where he received his M.D. from the New York University School of Medicine.

Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Caldroney served as an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the New York University College of Dentistry, New York University Langone Medical Center and the Manhattan Veterans Administration Hospital. Further continuing his education, he completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center. His primary clinical practice includes comprehensive treatment of head and neck malignancies, tumors of the craniofacial region, salivary gland pathology and microvascular free flap reconstruction using 3D computer aided design and simulation.
