I am a Post-doctoral Fellow at Boston University Global Development Policy Center. I am part of the Program on Women’s Empowerment Research of the Human Capital Initiative, directed by Mahesh Karra.

I am an applied microeconomist studying how gender norms and gender-based violence emerge and affect broader social and economic outcomes. My research interests lie at the intersection of Development Economics, Political Economy, Economic History, and Health Economics.

My work integrates theoretical modeling with empirical analysis, using diverse data sources—including surveys, historical records, and randomized controlled trials—to inform policy.

I am working on i) coercive programs and their impact on violence ii) female entrepreneurship and gender norms, iii) contraceptive concordance and access to contraception, iv) menstrual hygiene and v) education and gender norms.
