Dr. Mueller is an Assistant Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and serves as the Medical Director of the Hematology Lab at Boston Medical Center. She completed her MD and PhD in Pharmacology and Molecular Cancer Biology at Duke University followed by residency training in Clinical Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital and fellowship training in Molecular Genetic Pathology in the Harvard-wide program. Before arriving at the university, Dr. Mueller was the Medical Director of the Division of Diagnostic Hematology at a national reference lab.

Dr. Mueller is particularly interested in acquired and hereditary thrombophilias, resident education, and collaborating with clinicians to improve the safety and utility of laboratory testing for patients.
