Richy C. Villa, LICSW is the Director of Training and Social Work Development for the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center. Richy serves as Instructor of Psychiatry at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Richy is an Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner and is IFS Level 1 trained. He is currently working to complete his IFS Level 2 training in the Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) model for couple therapy. He is also trained and practices Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is a Certified Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F). Richy teaches didactics in group psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems for Boston Medical Center and Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Richy is a member of the World Association for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counseling (WAPCEPC).
