Raphael Sherak, MD, MPH
Assistant Professor
Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine
Emergency Medicine

Raphael “Raffi” Sherak, MD, MPH earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY, and his Master of Public Health in Quantitative Methods from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Yale, where he was part of the Yale Emergency Scholars integrated research fellowship and earned a Clinician Educator Distinction. After graduating residency in 2024, he completed a research fellowship in emergency medicine and worked as an attending physician at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Raffi’s research focuses on leveraging decision analytic methods, such as cost-effectiveness analysis and risk prediction modeling, as well as secondary analysis of large datasets to improve both patient and population health through data-driven decision-making. His current areas of interest include optimizing antimicrobial treatment of urogenital infections, improving care for vulnerable populations, and using mathematical modeling to guide patient care processes in prehospital and emergency department settings.
