I am a clinical neonatologist and a current candidate for Msc in Epidemiology at BU SPH interested in long term health care sequalae of prematurity, global health, and neonatal resuscitation.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility

As a person of color, an immigrant, and a member of the gender and sexual minority community, I have been witness to the many ways our current model of medical education and training can impact individuals with intersectional identities—both as residents and as patients. These experiences shape my commitment to fostering a more equitable, supportive, and inclusive medical community.
I am dedicated to mentoring trainees who navigate these intersecting identities, offering the guidance and advocacy I often lacked during my own training. Through my work with our institution’s Diversity Council and as a BCRPride mentor, I am to provide residents of color and LGBTQ+ trainees a space to feel supported, and empowered to thrive.
My commitment to equity also extends to my scholarly interests. I am particularly focused on understanding and improving long-term health outcomes for economically disadvantaged and racially minoritized infants born preterm. By centering equity in both mentorship and research, I aim to help build a healthcare system that better serves marginalized communities across the lifespan.
