Mark R. Castera, MD, is an attending neonatologist in the Division of Newborn Medicine. His primary interest is medical education, and he is passionate about curriculum design and trainee competency assessments. He serves as an assistant program director in the Boston Combined Residency Program with roles as the co-director of the residency coaching program and simulation-based education for pediatric residents at Boston Medical Center. He is the director of newborn medical education at Boston Medical Center and serves as the residency rotation director for the newborn nursery and neonatal intensive care unit. Mark also serves as a faculty mentor for the Boston Combined Residency Program's Health Equity Rounds series.
