Dr. Afifi received her B.S. in Biology from Suffolk University and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the Anatomy and Neurobiology Department at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. Her graduate work at BUSM was alongside Drs. Jarrett Rushmore and Antoni Valero-Cabre studying the effects of non-invasive neurostimulation on visuo-spatial recovery following parietal cortex injury. Dr. Afifi has years of experience teaching at the medical school level in anatomy, neuroscience and histology.
