She then became a resident in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. After a personal experience with a family member in hospice and seeing the meaningful impact that palliative care has on patients, she has become increasingly interested in end of life care. She then became a fellow in Geriatric Medicine at Boston Medical Center.

Dr. Taffel is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, and is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society, American College of Physicians, American Geriatric Society, and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
