Neurology

MD, First Tashkent State Medical Institute

I graduated from the First Tashkent State Medical School in 2003 and shortly thereafter moved from Uzbekistan to Texas to pursue graduate studies in neuroimaging. In 2009, I got my Master’s degree and started the Medicine Internship at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. A year later I joined Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School for Residency in Neurology. The final stage of my medical education was a Fellowship in Vascular Neurology (stroke) with special attention to Neurological Critical Care for which I stayed at Massachusetts General Hospital.

After completing my medical training in 2014, I started as a neurologist at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. There I served as a neurohospitalist and a stroke neurologist taking care of patients with acute neurological diseases. My additional role was to serve as a Medical Director of Emergency, Inpatient and Stroke neurology. This allowed me to work on improving the neurological care for hospitalized patients, ensure adherence to the highest standards of care and participate extensively in educating the medical staff. I was recognized by internal medicine and radiology residency with two teaching awards.
