Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility
As a Nurse Practitioner on the Inpatient Addiction Consult Service, I have the pleasure of caring for patients with significant diversity in their race, ethnicity, age, socioeconomic status, housing status, gender, gender identity and sexual orientation. I strive to remain educated about health disparities that exist within the world of addiction, and am committed to providing excellent care without exception. As an employee, I remain committed to creating an inclusive environment in which all colleagues feel valued. I am honored to work with and learn from colleagues who have lived experience with substance use. I am committed to addressing my own biases as it pertains to race and disability by engaging in the BUMC Reads Program.
