Jill Sanders, MD, is a pediatrician and HIV clinician working in Lesotho. She is originally from Texas, USA, and completed her undergraduate training in biochemistry and earned her doctoral degree in medicine from the University of Texas. She completed pediatric specialty training at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she also served as Chief Resident. She was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, serving in both Tanzania and Lesotho. She completed a Master Degree of Public Health from the University of London, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Sanders is faculty for the LeBoHA Family Medicine Specialty Program. She is a course instructor in Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement, Primary Care Research and Principles of Teaching and Learning in Medical Education. Additionally, she is a clinical supervisor in child health, infectious diseases, and mental health. She is the Pediatric Program Director for LeBoHA, responsible for leading curriculum development for a pediatric residency program in Lesotho. Dr Sanders is the staff pediatrician at Motebang Hospital in Leribe, supporting infant, child and adolescent health and a resource for HIV and tuberculosis clinics. She serves on multiple technical working groups of the Lesotho Ministry of Health. Finally, she is the Vice President of the Paediatric Association of Lesotho.
