Jessica Perkins is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Boston University School of Medicine and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Boston Medical Center. She received her Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Wake Forest University School of Medicine where she currently serves on the Board of Alumni. She conducted her graduate capstone project on the effectiveness of IV versus PO acetaminophen in terms of reducing postoperative pain scores and opioid consumption.

Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Anselm College, where she is a current member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and has served as a guest speaker. She conducted her undergraduate thesis statement on integrating technology into healthcare education to improve patient health literacy. Additionally, she mentors undergraduate nursing students in career development as part of the NH-INBRE program (New Hampshire IDeA Network of Biomedical Excellence).

Her areas of research interest and publication include urinary incontinence in female athletes, which she presented on at the Eastern Nursing Research Society in 2018, multimodal analgesia techniques, and effective teaching strategies for preceptors.
