She was invited to and provided National Medical Director MRI and Cardiovascular Educational Lectures, MRI Technologist educational seminars and continuing education conferences. Her lectures have included Current Concepts in MR Contrast Media for the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM)/Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (SMRT) President’s Regional Educational Seminar, American Society of Neuroimaging Seminars, Advanced Cardiovascular MR Seminars and Continuing Education Credit Conferences, Seminars and Events for the Massachusetts and American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Medical Grand Rounds in New England, International Conferences for Rare Diseases on topics such as Arteriovenous Malformation, Vasculopathy and Vasculitis, Cardiovascular MRI, MRA, MRV, Innovations in Very Low Field Mobile Bedside MRA, and more. She provided educational sessions regarding MRI Contrast Material and MRI Safety for the Massasoit MRI Certificate Program, Created the curriculum for and instructed Clinical MR & Pathophysiology, Clinical MR Internship 1 and 2, as well as Cross Sectional Imaging for Imaging Professionals, for Masters Level Clinical MR Competencies. Dr. Sherman serves as a mentor to students and graduates, as well as colleagues.
Dr. Sherman implemented the vascular radiology program with contrast and non-contrast enhanced neurological, body and peripheral vascular MRA programs for MRICNE, developed and optimized protocols, and parameters for all clinical MRI field strengths, pioneered the clinical imaging implementations at low field, led the quality improvement and educational programs. Coordinating with their President and chief executive officer, they led the team to successful collaborative radiology services, including on site and teleradiology partners, from Boston Hospitals and Medical Centers. Dr. Sherman helped MRICNE to grow from the original single medical office to multi-modality New England regional services. They co-developed Medical Response and Intervention, providing radiology and MRI emergency prevention and preparedness education, training, and hands on mock adverse events drills.
Dr. Sherman provided MRI services to under-served and rural communities, instructed Career College students, is a volunteer member of the Research Advisory Board as well as Chief Medical Officer, of a University Chapter of NORD Students for Rare Diseases.
