Major areas of interest encompass the design and synthesis of novel antimicrobial peptides, the development of peptide-based delivery systems, synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, nano-synthesis, analytical and spectroscopic methods, drug delivery, and the creation of cell-penetrating peptides to enhance the delivery of cell-impermeable drugs.
I possess extensive experience in Solid-Phase Peptide synthesis, small molecule synthesis, the development of new synthetic methodologies, microbiology, spectroscopy (e.g., MALDI, Q-TOF, NMR, IR), HPLC (preparative and analytical), and biofunctionalisation techniques.
