Elizabeth is a native of Massachusetts, and a graduate of New York Medical College. After earning an undergraduate degree in sociology from Williams College, she worked in Boston for an urban planning and development firm before making the decision to pursue medicine as a career. She completed a post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Harvard University Extension School, and then went to work as a clinical research coordinator for the deparment of Thoracic Oncology at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. At New York Medical College she was involved in research relating to Patient Centered Medical Homes and transistions in medical care between childhood and adulthood, with a particular focus on children with complex medical needs. Her research and work experience at both Dana Farber and New York Medical College were early influences that led her to commit to a career in primary care. She was drawn to family medicine for its ability to offer full-spectrum care over a lifespan. Elizabeth was Vice President of the FMIG at New York Medical College. In her leisure time she enjoys cycling, hiking, gardening, and cooking for friends and family. She speaks moderate French and basic Russian, and is working on learning Spanish.
