Edward "Ted" Brewer, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Radiology in Emergency Radiology at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. He received his BA in History from the University of Virginia, then attended Boston University School of Medicine on a US Navy Health Professions Scholarship.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Brewer served as a medical officer in the US Navy. He completed his internship at Portsmouth Virginia Naval Medical Center and undertook additional training in undersea medicine at the Naval Undersea Medical Institute in Groton, Connecticut and Naval Diving Salvage and Training Center in Panama City, Florida. He then served as an Undersea Medical Officer at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine.

After serving in the Navy, Dr. Brewer completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Lahey Clinic and neuroradiology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Brewer has practiced emergency radiology since finishing his fellowship in 2011.
