As a radiologist, I strive to provide the best patient care possible in terms of both image analysis and minimally invasive image-guided procedures. I also recognize the integral role that radiology plays in modern medicine, and that it's vital to work with other physicians to maximize radiology’s benefits to an individual patient. To this end, I enjoy advising other healthcare providers and guiding imaging decisions.
I obtained my undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Texas, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. After finishing, I left Austin to start medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. I completed medical school in 2009 and then began my internship at the University of Illinois – Chicago, where I also performed my residency in diagnostic radiology and served as Chief Resident. Over the course of five years in Chicago, I was able to diagnose and treat countless patients in an inner-city setting, and I learned a vast amount throughout my training. Next, I gained further expertise in musculoskeletal radiology as a fellow at Stanford University. My time at Stanford afforded me the opportunity to work with leading researchers, cutting-edge technology and the most up-to-date techniques and procedures available.
I have a special interest in musculoskeletal imaging, with an emphasis in sports injuries. I have provided imaging interpretation and procedural care for Stanford Cardinal athletes and also professional teams in the Bay Area, including the 49ers, Giants and San Jose Sharks. My other interests in radiology include breast imaging, body imaging, and teaching medical students and residents.
