I am Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Boston University Medical Campus. I am the surgical intensive-care unit (SICU) rotation director for the anesthesiology residency.

My research expertise is the physiologically difficult airway (PDA), extracoporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and regional anesthesia and pain medicine in critically-ill patients. I also have a personal interest in the advancement of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals interested in careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers.

I have a fundamental commitment to helping students in a variety of backgrounds (medicine, nursing, undergraduate) obtain and achieve their long-term goals in medicine.
