Dr. Damon Wilkerson earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas San Antonio School of Dentistry. After completing a one-year Pediatric General Practice Residency at Oklahoma Memorial Children’s hospital, Dr. Wilkerson returned to the University of Texas at Houston and completed his 2 year residency and earned a certificate in orthodontics. He then attended the University of Michigan to pursue advanced training in Human Growth and Development.

During the early development of Invisalign training, he was Contributor and Reviewer of the first published Invisalign Clinical Monitoring Guide in 2003.

Prior to the Orthodontics Department at the Goldman School of Dental Medicine Dr. Wilkerson’s Pre and Post Doctoral Faculty experience includes:

- Clinical Faculty, Georgia School of Orthodontics.
- Director of Orthodontics at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System Advanced Education in General Dentistry
- Associate Professor, Assistant Director Graduate Clinical Care, Department of Orthodontics, University of Colorado
- Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Restorative Sciences, University Colorado School of Dentistry, Denver, Colorado
- Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Restorative Sciences Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, Texas.

Research interests include orthodontic clinical teaching methodology as applied to types of learners.

Dr. Wilkerson is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Texas Dental Association and the American Cleft Palate – Craniofacial Association.
