Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility(DEIA):

Through my leadership positions and training, both in Academia and in the Army, I have learned and developed skills in ensuring successful collaborations – along with my colleagues and peers – in our professions, towards creating an unprejudiced and unbiased environment for all.
Working for many years in a diverse community of peers and colleagues I never tolerated discrimination on any basis. Through actions and words, I have devoted serious and sustained efforts in committing to an inclusive and open learning environment.
Through my every day work in the clinic, either as a GPL or GSF, as well as through my participation in numerous School Committees, since 2014, I embrace creative practices that challenge preconceptions while encouraging critical engagement and providing opportunities that cultivate personal discovery and growth.
As an individual myself with an international and diverse background, migrating from another continent, I can totally relate with the challenges faced by students, staff and faculty of a diverse community.
I consider myself truly fortunate, working at GSDM, an environment which recognizes that the variety of our backgrounds and differences, makes us stronger. We realize that we constantly learn from each other and also that actions and words matter. On the same token, the absence of words and actions also matter.
