Benjamin Soares
MD Student
Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine

Ben is working on an M.S. in medical sciences at Boston University, and he plans to begin medical school at the Boston University School of Medicine next year. He wrote his masters thesis in the glaucoma laboratory of Dr. Haiyan Gong on Schlemm's canal endothelial cells.

He enjoys teaching and has tutored medical, undergraduate, and high school students. He hopes to continue to learn and connect with students through the Global Med Mentors platform.

In his free time he likes to read, run, and ski.
