Amos Mwaura
MD Student
Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine

I am a sophomore from Kansas City, Missouri majoring in Biology w/ a Specialization in Behavioral Biology and Minoring in Psychology. Throughout my life, I’ve developed a passion in giving back to the youth. I hope to explore this passion through my research at the Brain and Early Experiences Lab. I am interested in learning how factors such as socioeconomic status and race affect the development of youth. My ultimate goal is to attend medical school, and eventually earn a dual residency in family medicine and psychiatry. Outside the lab, I enjoy watching sports and participating in BU’s improv troupe, Liquid Fun.
