K. H. Vincent Lau is the Outpatient Medical Director of Neurology, the Director of the Neuromuscular Fellowship, an Associate Director of the Neurology Residency, and Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Lau received his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He then completed an Internship in Medicine and Residency and Chief Residency in Neurology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Lau then completed a Fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine at Harvard Medical School at Mass General Brigham Hospital. Dr. Lau is board certified in Neurology and has special interests in amyloid neuropathy, immune-mediated neuropathy, quality improvement and clinical operations, and technology in medical education. Dr. Lau is passionate about medical education and has received both the Golden Brain Medical Student Teaching Award (2020) and Attending Educator of the Year Award voted by neurology residents (2021). He is also an inductee of the BUMG Clinical Excellence Society (2021). His research in amyloidosis is supported by funding from the Amyloidosis Foundation.
