Dr. Noonan is Associate Professor and Director of the Division of Oral Pathology at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She completed her dental training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and earned her Doctor of Medical Science in Oral Biology and Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Noonan is a Fellow in the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. She has served on the Constitution and Bylaws Committee and the Fellowship Committee of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, and the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association. Her primary interests include clinical and surgical oral and maxillofacial pathology, pre-doctoral and post-doctoral dental education, and research pertaining to the biological basis of oral cancer.
