Suhong Yu was born in Sichuan, China. She received her B.S. degree in materials physics, in 2006, from Sichuan University, China, and M.S. in physics from northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL. She then received her PhD in medical physics at University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI 2013. She then started her two-year residency in clinical medical physics at University of California-Irvine medical center, department of Radiation Oncology. Currently, Dr. Yu is an Assistant professor in the school of medicine at University of Rochester medical center.
