Sovannarith Korm received his master's and Ph.D. degrees in South Korea in the field of cancer biology from Sogang University and Chungnam National University, respectively. He was honored with the Young Scientists Award of Cancer Science journal, Japan and Analytical Science Award of Graduate School of Analytical Science and Technology, Korea. He is currently doing research as postdoctoral associate in cancer metabolism at Boston University School of Medicine. His professional interests focus on (1) exploring the underlying mechanisms of natural compounds in aging and cancer therapy and (2) uncovering the potential mechanisms in cancer drug/therapy resistance. His current project is targeting mitochondria structure/morphology in breast cancer and acute myeloid leukemia using zebrafish as a model.
