Scott Levin, MD, MSc
Clinical Instructor
Boston University School of Medicine
Dept of Surgery

I am serving a General Surgery residency at the Boston University (BU) School of Medicine, Boston Medical Center with a focus on trauma and acute care surgery, surgery of the alimentary tract and abdomen, surgical oncology and endocrine surgery, vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, and critical care. I am also a research fellow in the BU School of Medicine Primary Care Academic Fellowship Program through which I completed a Masters of Science in Health Services and Systems Research with honors at the BU School of Public Health. My research objective is to study the impact of national and state health policies on surgical outcomes, as well as to improve surgical safety. My research has resulted in several publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. I am optimistic that my research will continue to offer new approaches to elucidating effects of health policy on surgical disease management and enable me to provide optimal, evidence-informed care to the patients I serve.
