Dr. Rayyan Quip is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and a Family Medicine Physician at Boston Medical Center and Codman Health Center. She earned her Medical Doctorate (MD) from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and completed her Family Medicine residency with HIV fellowship-equivalent training in Lawrence, MA.

Dr. Quip’s clinical expertise encompasses comprehensive family medicine, with a focus on HIV care, addiction medicine, and gender-affirming care. Her research and advocacy efforts address preventive care and health equity, as evidenced by her presentations on HIV prevention and gender-affirming care at the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians and a forthcoming letter to the editor in American Family Physician. She has also contributed to clinical resources, including an algorithm on hyperproteinemia for 5 Minute Consult.

An engaged educator, Dr. Quip has served as a resident clinical instructor at Tufts Medical School, delivering lectures and mentoring medical students. She is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Society of Addiction Medicine, and World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Her accolades include the Ruth Fox Scholar Award from the American Society of Addiction Medicine, Alpha Omega Alpha, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
