Dr. Kevin Olsen is an Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Physician in Boston, MA and is affiliated with St. Elizabeth's Medical Center and Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Florida. He then received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, serving as chief resident in his final year. He completed his Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. In addition, Dr. Olsen serves as the EMS Medical Director for Westover Air Reserve Base and a Critical Care Air Transport Physician for the USAF. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine and Neurocritical Care.

Dr. Olsen serves as a mentor for anesthesiology and surgical residents throughout St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. His focus is on resident education, crisis management, and simulation. He is the Co-Chair for Simulation in the Department of Anesthesiology at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center and also serves as the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Medical Director. In addition, Dr. Olsen is the Chair of Resident Wellness - having developed the leadership curriculum consisting of lecture series, book club and out of hospital wellness activities. Beyond this, Dr. Olsen serves on the Surgical Excellence Committee and has led the efforts to improve the perioperative experience and safety for patients while also improving operating room efficiency through the First Case on Time Start Initiative and the Perioperative Administration of Vancomycin Requirement.
