He completed his residency in general surgery at Oregon Health & Science University, followed by fellowships in endocrine surgery and clinical medical ethics at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on clinical outcomes in endocrine surgery, medical ethics, and the humanities. Dr. Tobias is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
