Han Dong is a PhD candidate in the Computer Science department at Boston University. His research interests lie in the areas of distributed systems, high performance computing, and cloud computing. He is interested in exploring how HPC and the Cloud can coexist from an application and operating systems standpoint.

Han received his M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Maryland Baltimore County with his thesis on: A System for Social Media Data Analytics Applied To Hurricane Sandy (2013). His B.S. in Computer Science was earned at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (2010).
