Guillermo is from Madrid (Spain), where he graduated in biotechnology from the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. During his undergraduate studies, he developed an interest in immunology, regeneration and novel therapies, which led him to pursue the MSc Genes, Drugs and Stem Cells at Imperial College London. He is also interested in multidisciplinary approaches and earned an MSc in Biophysics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and has carried out multiple projects in biomedical engineering labs. In his free time, Guillermo enjoys visiting the MFA, hiking, and reading.

Guillermo Arroyo Ataz is a Pathology PhD candidate in the lab of Assistant Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Dennis Jones, PhD. His research focuses on studying the developmental origin of cells of the lymphatic system. Guillermo defended his dissertation, “Characterization of Mesodermal Origins of Lymphatic Muscle Cells,” in March 2024 and will graduate in May 2024.
