My research career is dedicated to integrating Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) into the screening and management of hematologic malignancies, with a specific focus on HTLV-1 Adult T Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma. I utilize a variety of methodologies, including epidemiology, participatory research, implementation science, and health systems research, to address health disparities faced by immigrant and refugee populations, particularly those encountering language barriers. By examining the interplay between SDOH and health outcomes, I aim to develop and implement equitable healthcare strategies that enhance access to care and improve health outcomes for diverse patient groups.
